An opportunity for a talented and tech-savvy freelance wordsmith to join our team.

About This Role

Working with the Marketing and CX team (who are based in Sydney) you’ll be using your excellent command to voice and communicate what Honcho is all about. You'll put yourself into the shoes of someone starting their business (remember when you first did it when you started freelancing and how scary it was?) and prove that Honcho has their back!

Your responsibilities will start by tackling our emails (we use a fantastic tool called Autopilot) while our designers will help to provide creative assets that support your outstanding copy. 

We want personality and passion to boot as you're essentially befriending all our thousands of customers as they start their business. As you know, it can be stressful and lonely. Well it won't be by starting with Honcho!

Apart from the fact that you love writing and working in close collaboration with like minded people, you are very digitally savvy, detail oriented and thrive in an environment where you can take ownership of projects from start to finish.

We are looking for an agile, flexible and a self-starter with a positive, 'can do' attitude. You will have the ability to pull content together that speaks to our audience in a fun, informative and laid back approach as thats who we are. 

What we want

  • Degree and/or equivalent experience in communication, or related marketing discipline
  • Creative ideas and solutions for email marketing, sales materials, web pages and community blogs
  • Understanding of search engine optimisation principles and how they are applied to online content
  • Taking on briefs and executing the content to fit the brand and the audience
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Google Docs and experience using content management systems
  • Confidence in trying new software, including Autopilot
  • Ability to work as fast as we do!

This will be a contract role for someone working remotely or if Sydney based can come into our office 2-3 days a week. We are looking for someone asap.
